The SlopeMon Base software is normally installed at the
mine engineering office. It receives target data
from the SlopeMon remote stations and displays it in
real time. The Base software runs full time receiving
and analyzing the movement data and applying user
defined movement cutoffs to highlight targets and update
target group statuses.
Alarm emails can be automatically sent when a target
group's status changes by exceeding the user defined
movement cutoffs. |
Target Groups - Main Window
The mine engineer can group targets into logical groups and
assign movement and velocity cutoffs which will highlight the group based on
the percentage of targets moving within a defined cutoff range. Individual
target vectors are also high-lighted based on the user defined cutoffs.
Targets groups are coloured according to the movement
cutoffs assigned for the group. A green dot on the group folder means safe.
Yellow is warning and red is danger. When you click on a group the targets
contained within the group are displayed on the right-hand side of the window.
You can see which targets are moving based on the coloured highlighting of the
vector values that exceed the cutoffs. |
|
The
"Target Group Tree" contains a user defined tree of target
groups. The special system group "*All Targets*"
contains all targets in the system. The Target
Groups can be arranged into sub trees. Target Groups
allow the user to group targets into logical groupings
based on geographic or any other criteria such as
"Current Prisms", "Weekly Report" or any other relevant
grouping. The user can define each Target Groups
preferences including delta movement cutoff, velocity
cutoffs, graphing preferences, etc. See "Target
Groups" for further information on target group
preferences.
The colored dot to the left of each target group represents the status of the
target group. Green is safe, yellow is warning and
red is danger. SlopeMon automatically updates the
target group status as new data is received from the
remote stations.
Individual targets can be arranged under multiple
groups. |

When a target group is selected in the "Target
Group Tree" the group's targets are displayed along
with a summary of their movement information including:
delta Northing, Easting, Elevation, Distance, Horizontal
Angles and associated velocities.
Targets that were shot in the last monitoring cycle
have a solid blue triangle to the left of their name.
Targets that could not be shot have a hollow blue
triangle. This allows the operator to quickly see
what targets have current data and which don't.
Target data is colored based on the groups user
defined delta and
velocity cutoff parameters. Target data exceeding
the small movement values is highlighted yellow, target
data exceeding the large movement values are highlighted
red. If a targets data has aged beyond a user
defined period of time the highlighting is pail to
signal the operator the data is stale.
The operator can double click any target to view it's
Target Data Window.
A summary of the selected target's last absolute values
is displayed at the bottom. |
|
The target data window allows you to
view the target data in both graph and grid format. You can edit the target
data and the graph will automatically update.
On this window you can turn on and off all vectors recorded
and calculated for the target. Vectors available are: Slope Distance,
Horizontal Angle, Vertical Angle, Total Vector, Northing, Easting, Elevation,
Pressure and Temperature along with all the matching velocities.
You can view each target in the selected group by simply
clicking the next or previous target buttons.
You can zoom in on target data using the mouse and scroll
back and forward in time to see the history of the target.
All edited data can be reverted to original data, no
original data is lost. |
Pit View Window - Plan
SlopeMon can display a pit view window that can show the
selected group of targets in both plan and 3D views.
In order to view your pit in 2D/3D you'll required an ASCII
DXF file of your contour lines.
When you double click on a target, the Target Data window is
displayed. |
Pit View Window - 3D
The pit view can be easily rotated and panned in
both 2D and 3D.
A user selected movement vector of either slope distance or
total vector can be displayed on the plan view. |
|
Targets can be organized into logical groups. There is one
default group called *All Targets* that contains a list of all the
targets known to SlopeMon. Each target group can have a unique set of
preferences.
Group Preferences:
 |
General
This page allows the selection of Units (Metric or Imperial) and number
of digits used to display shot values. |
 |
Graph
This page allows the selection of the Default time period shown on
Target Graphs and used to calculate a targets movement in the group. Multiple
time periods can be defined and used for each Target Group.
The page also contains the default graph range, units and decimals used
to graph target data. The graph range controls the Y-Axis displayed on the
target graphs. This range can be adjusted by the user when viewing the target
graphs.
The default vectors displayed on the target graph and data grid are set
on this page. |
 |
Custom Delta Movement cutoffs can be set for each target group. Target
vectors that exceed the small or large cutoffs will be highlighted yellow or
red, respectively.
Highlighting is used in the target group data window and on the target
data grid on the Target Window to mark small and large delta
movements. |
 |
The velocity cutoffs are used to highlight velocities in the target
group grid and target data grid, similar to delta data cutoffs above.
Velocity data cutoffs combined with the group color percent
targets values are used to highlight overall movement of a target group.
When a give percentage of targets, in a group, exceeds the specified cutoff,
the target group folder has either a yellow or red dot representing the status
of the target group. A green dot on a target group means the groups is "safe",
yellow is "warning" and red is "danger". |
 |
Pit View
The Pit View Window allow the user to view both a plan and 3D view of
all the targets in a selected group.
Multiple DXF files can be used to underlay the targets in the view
window. This tab allows you to select the underlay DXF files and the dimensions
of the view.
Because DXF files can be quite complex, this page allows you to
determine the resolution used to display the DXF file, reducing the complexity
and thus processing time required. |
 |
Movement Vector
A movement vector can be displayed on the Pit View Window. The vector
can be based on either Total Vector or Slope Distance. This page allows you to
configure the vector and it's magnification. |
 |
Alarms
Alarms can be set for each Target Group. When the group status
changes to "Small" or "Large" movement based on the Delta or Velocity
cutoffs SlopeMon will start to beep a user defined number of beeps over
a user defined interval.
Alarm emails can automatically be sent to any number of email
addressed when the alarms are triggered. The emails detail the
target group moving, the degree of movement and the alarm level.
Alarm emails are sent anytime a group status changes, so if a target
group returns to a green or normal status a new email will be sent
details the status change. |
|
|
SlopeMon
can automatically send alarm emails based on the user defined Target Group
Delta and Velocity cutoffs. The emails detail the targets moving in
the group and the degree of movement that exceeded the cutoff.
In this example email the target moved from an "Unknown" status to
"Velocity Small". The "Unknown" status occurs when the SlopeMon hasn't
received data from the target for a user defined period of time. This
can happen when the target has been unreadable due to mining conditions such
as bad weather or dust. If the target status goes from "Unknown" to
"No Movement" no email is sent.
Emails can be sent to Cell phones using a direct email address or a
providers email to SMS service (offered by most major cell providers). |
Target Group Reports
Target Group reports can be easily
printed at a click of a button.
The report summarizes the movement of all the targets in a
selected group. It displays the user selected vectors over the user selected
time period. Movement values are high-lighted based on the group cutoffs
selected by the user. Yellow represents small movement, red large. |
Target Reports
Target Reports can be printed for an entire group.
The report includes a graph of user selected vectors over time and a grid
containing user selected deltas, accumulated deltas or vector values for each
shot displayed on the graph.
The graph can be of each shot recorded, each shot after a
given time of day or each shot after a given number of days. This allows you to
view both long and short term data with ease. |
Plan View Report
A
Plan View report can be customized and printed for a Target Group. The
report displays the group targets and their movement vectors scaled based on
user settings. A pit outline can be display under the target date
using a DXF files. The title block (bottom left) is user customizable. |
